Several years ago, I started my first business with my brother; a residential cleaning company that pivoted to specializing in Short Term Rentals.
It wasn't fancy...
And it wasn't what you would call fun...
But it taught me the fundamentals of business and created more connections than I ever thought possible.
More importantly, it taught me that I truly loved business, both as a concept, and as an art.
Now, there were things I didn’t love...
But, at the end of a tough day where I felt like I was ready to quit, I’d ask myself:
“Would you rather go back to a 9-5?”
The answer was and will always be a resounding “No”.
I knew that I wasn’t alone in this mindset.
Though there are thousands, and likely millions of people out there just like you and me, with entrepreneurial aspirations, most lack the confidence, the knowledge, or simply the time to get started.
I know I lacked just about every single one of those back in when I started.
Sadly, many brilliant ideas go unconceived, and it hurts more than just the would-be founder(s).
We all miss out on tons of potentially amazing inventions, products, and services that never come to fruition.
I knew that this was the problem I wanted to solve.
And so, the idea of Jumpstartup was born.
I sat down one evening and just started writing.
It didn’t have any kind of structure yet, but I just kept typing away for a few weeks.
As I wrote, it became clear that the most effective way to help others start a business would be to condense the experience and knowledge I gained from my business and mentors over the years into something practical.
If I could consolidate years of honest failures, accomplishments, resources, and everything in between into one concise platform, I knew it could help at least one other person go from idea to execution.
When I thought I was done, I realized that this wasn’t something I could do alone.
In fact, Jumpstartup could bring so much more value to entrepreneurs if I could find a collaborator to add their experiences and business knowledge to the final product.
I reached out to another entrepreneur who I had known for years and who’s journey I had been following closely.
We discussed the idea at length for months, and through this collaboration, took it so much further than I ever imagined.
Jumpstartup is more than just a course.
It is the online starting point for “starting a business” entirely.
Our vision is to be the go-to resource that entrepreneurs go to when taking that critical leap from zero to one.
